God is with us.

God is in the half-divine ramblings of drunken idiots
As they drown their sorrows in the name of Father, Son, and Holy Spirits
God is in the cardboard cutout cities of the overpassed
In every fragment of every broken heart and broken glass
God is in the dead-beat dead-ends and alleyways
In ill informed information kiosks and broken soda machines
God is in the smallest scrap of every regretted letter sent
"And God is with us, when we are with them."

  1. I am in love with this poem. As much as . . . that is possible/acceptable. Seriously, I love it. It's awesome.

Hey, do you want me to mail you that book?

  2. Yeah. I do. You should mail me back my nano when you do. If you can find it.

  3. Will do. (chyeah, it's sitting sideways on my bookshelf next to "Surprised by joy" and "either/or Part I")
