Nano stuff

My nano is now finished, edited, and (get this!) illustrated.
(isn't Jay awesome? Yes. Yes he is.)

I will - at some point - be printing a copy which I can loan out, but anybody who doesn't want to wait has only to ask, and I will email you the document (though you'll miss out on the illustrations.)

And, yeah, that's about it.

Also, story behind the title: About three fourths of the way through writing the book I realized that I had made my main character into a Christ character, symbolizing the life of Christ. Then, when I finished the story and was trying to come up with a title - technically, I was only passively searching, since I was listening to iTunes at the time - I noticed that the lyrics for Jon Foreman's The Cure for Pain fit very well with my story, hence the title.

  1. Ack! I didn't even realized you had posted this when I asked to read it, that is amazing. Yes, Jay is awesome.

I want to illustrate mine, or at least design a cover, but I haven't yet. (Though I'm not sure how useful it would be since I already emailed mine.) I'm glad you got to. :)

  2. Okay, I think you should email me the doc, because I'm impatient.

  3. Actually, I am content to wait, since I really want to see those illustrations. Also, I'm more likely to read it cover-to-cover and not forget about it if it's in "real" book form. That said, I can't wait to read it that way. And I love the Cure for Pain reference, because interestingly, that song drove a lot of my novel as well. "The Cure For Pain" or something like it, will probably be my title. Fascinating.

  4. Apologies, Liz, (if you ever notice) I was trying to get rid of Andrew's first comment and deleted yours instead.
