apples to apples

Today was like a green apple.  A little sour, a little bitter, a little sweet, not revolting, but not delicious either.   It was like a movie that you really liked, until it had one scene in it that ruined the whole film.  It was a rainbow painted in grayscale.  It was a peanut shell that had only one nut inside.  It was a promise half-met, a goal half-achieved, a battle half-won.

"Today is very boring, it is boring through and through,
there is absolutely nothing that I think I want to do."

In other news, I started reading Mere Christianity today... already interesting, and already filling up my commonplace book.
